A big part of my interest in sculpture came from
my work as a professional chef. Ice carving particularly
spoke to me. I won first place in 1989, 1990 and 1991
in the Kansas City Professional Chef Ice Carving
Competitions. This fueled my desire to pursue the
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree which I received in 1999.
